Surrogacy Consultation in Delhi
Assessment, documentation and treatment planning for couples who qualify under the Surrogacy Act.
What surrogacy consultation involves
Surrogacy in India is governed by the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act 2021, which permits only altruistic surrogacy for eligible married couples with a documented medical indication. Commercial surrogacy is prohibited, and eligibility is narrow.
Our role is to assess whether you meet the medical criteria, prepare the embryos, and work with the surrogate's obstetric care. We will tell you plainly and early if you do not qualify rather than letting you spend money finding out slowly.
Who this is for
- Absent uterus, or uterus surgically removed
- Congenital uterine anomalies incompatible with pregnancy
- Repeated implantation failure with proven uterine factor
- Medical conditions in which pregnancy would be dangerous
Not everything on this list means you need this treatment. The workup comes first, and the recommendation follows from what it shows — not from what was booked before you arrived.
Step by step
Eligibility assessment
We establish whether your situation meets the Act's medical and eligibility criteria.
Certification and documentation
The required certificates of essentiality and eligibility are prepared and submitted.
Embryo creation
An IVF cycle using your own gametes creates and freezes embryos.
Transfer and antenatal care
The embryo is transferred to the approved surrogate, whose pregnancy is monitored throughout.
Your results, in writing
Whatever the outcome of surrogacy consultation, you leave each stage with the findings written down — what was done, what was found, what it means, and what the options are from here. Reports are issued the same day wherever the laboratory allows it.
What is different about having this done here
Honest eligibility screening before any money is spent
Full compliance with the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act 2021
Coordination with legal counsel for documentation
Obstetric oversight of the surrogate pregnancy
Treated by the consultant, not by a rotating team
Dr. Tiwari performs the scans, the procedure and the follow-up herself, and looks after any pregnancy that results. Over a long treatment course that continuity is the difference between being known and being processed.

Areas we see patients from
Both clinics are in South Delhi. Patients travelling from further out have appointments grouped to cut down the number of trips.
Questions about surrogacy consultation
Is commercial surrogacy allowed in India?
No. Only altruistic surrogacy is permitted, and only for eligible Indian married couples with a certified medical indication. Any clinic suggesting otherwise is operating outside the law.
Can foreign nationals or single people use surrogacy in India?
The current Act restricts surrogacy to Indian married couples and certain widowed or divorced women within specified age ranges. The rules have changed more than once, so we confirm the position at the time you enquire.
Talk it through before you commit
Consultations run for a full hour. Bring any previous reports — they are reviewed properly, not repeated.
